Many customers neglect daily maintenance, which leads to premature failure of the shock absorbers and increases equipment operation and replacement costs. The indispensable daily inspection items 
Daily inspections are the foundation for maintaining external spring shock absorbers, enabling us to promptly identify potential issues and prevent minor malfunctions from escalating into major damages. The following key inspection items require special attention: 
Regularly inspect for leaks and damages 
It is recommended to inspect the oil seal and spring condition of the external spring shock absorber once a week. Pay special attention to checking for any issues such as oil leakage, spring deformation, or cracking. If oil leakage is detected, it is likely that the oil seal has aged or been damaged, and it should be replaced promptly. Cleaning and Lubrication Standards 
For situations with a lot of dust (such as construction sites and mines), it is necessary to clean the springs and cylinder bodies of the external spring shock absorbers monthly to prevent impurities from affecting the expansion performance. During cleaning, use a soft-bristled brush and neutral cleaner. Do not directly rinse with a high-pressure water gun to prevent water from entering the shock absorber and damaging the parts. Special lubricating oil should be used for lubrication. For heavy-duty external spring shock absorbers, it is recommended to lubricate once every 3 months, while for ordinary models, it is recommended to lubricate once every 6 months. The lubrication areas mainly include the spring connection points and the cylinder expansion parts. This can reduce friction and extend the service life. 
Special maintenance in extreme environments 
In high-temperature environments (such as near high-temperature furnaces or during outdoor operations in summer), it is necessary to check the spring elasticity every quarter. High temperatures can cause the spring elasticity to decrease. If the elasticity is found to be insufficient, it should be replaced promptly. In low-temperature environments (such as in cold regions during winter), pay attention to whether the sealing components have become brittle. Low temperatures can make the sealing components harden and become brittle, which may lead to oil leakage. For external spring shock absorbers used in extreme environments, we recommend that customers appropriately increase the inspection and maintenance frequency. 
To lay the foundation for the installation guide 
Many customers overlook the impact of installation on the maintenance of external spring shock absorbers. In fact, correct installation is the prerequisite for making the shock absorbers easy to maintain and prolonging their service life. Avoid using a high-pressure water gun to directly rinse the shock absorbers, especially the sealed interfaces of the stainless steel models. The high-pressure water flow is likely to damage the sealing rings, causing corrosion. 
2. Do not adjust the spring preload force by yourself. The spring preload force of the external spring shock absorber is set according to the design parameters. Any arbitrary adjustment will alter the shock absorption performance and affect the stability of equipment operation.
